Mervin Allen, 84, of New Haven, passed away June 29.
He was born to the late Fannie Goodson in Mount Dora, Fla., on July 24, 1926.
Cherishing his memory: daughter Jacqueline Thomas of Ansonia; nieces Bernice Allen of Ansonia and Ilona Daniels of New Haven; nephews William Allen Jr. of Mt Kisco, N.Y., and Robert Guidry of Phoenix; grand-nephews Gregory K. Levy of West Haven and Ulysses Allen Jr. III of California; and sister-in-law Queenie Guidry. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St., with calling hours from 10 – 11 a.m.
