Nelson Jose Romero, 60, of New Haven, passed away March 20, 2017.
He was born in Arecivo, Puerto Rico to Amador Romero and Ana Garcia on Sept. 27, 1956. He was happily married to Norma Velez Romero. Jose, as he was known to many, was self-employed as a mechanic.
Nelson leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Norma Velez Romero; sons, Jose “Pito” Romero, Jose “Nelo” Romero, and Joel Romero; daughters, Yanira Romero, Nydia Romero, Carmen Duluc, Jasmine Romero, and Karla Michelle; brothers, Luis Romero and Manuel Romero; grandchildren, Karina Romero, Stephanie Romero, Ashley Romero, Josue Romero, Natalia Romero; Abnel Romero, Jeniris Romero, Jocelyn Romero, Niala Romero, Abree Romero, and Jadiel Carrasquillo; and a host of relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the family March 27, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511. A celebration of life will take place March 28, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment immediately following at Evergreen Cemetery.
