Velver Driffin Brown, 58, of New Haven, departed this life November 18, 2013.
She was the wife of Charles R. Brown.
Born in Greeleyville, SC, June 28, 1955, she was the daughter of Mary L. Driffin and the late Thomas F. Driffin.
Mrs. Brown was employed for 20 years by the State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Essence Dennis; a brother, Kenneth F. Driffin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by a brother, Harold G. Driffin.
A celebration of Mrs. Brown’s life and legacy will be held Friday, November 22, 2013, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1324 Chapel St., New Haven.
