Michael Morand, who has played more civic roles in New Haven than most 20 other people combined, has a new one: member of the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven.
Morand, a former alder and current “cultural heritage professional at Yale’s Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library” (and lead curator of this current New Haven Museum history of slavery exhibit) is one of two newly announced CFGNH board members. The other is Yale School of medicine Professor Emily Wang, who directs the SEICHE Center for Health and Justice.
They will serve seven-year terms. They succeed former Yale Dean Joseph Gordon and clinical psychologist Maysa Akbar.
The foundation board reelected Chair Marcella Nunez-Smith, Vice-Chair Fernando J. Muñiz.
