65 – 75? Get On Vaccine Standby List

I would like to get on the wait list for covid vaccine but every number I call or website I visit does not have that information. Has anyone gotten through? Thanks!

I just called the number. Got a recording with button push choices, none of which corresponded to vaccination, so I went with the reporting covid choice which got me a message about getting further information on Covid and then said I could leave a message. So I did. I can't say I'm very hopeful.

If there's even one wasted dose, that's an outrage. They should expand the standby list down to the age of 50 where the Covid death ratios begin to skyrocket.

Just called Board of Health phone #. NONE of the options offered relate to vaccine. VERY UNHELPFUL! I did leave a message. We'll see......

I can only echo the dismal experience of others noted below. I didn't know which option to choose but selected #2 for Clinics. Left name and number but to what effect? WSHU carried a similar story a few days ago which was updated stating that people had complained to the Mayor's Office because they couldn't get through to 203-946-6999 so readers were advised to call 211 instead. I called 211 and was on hold for about 20 minutes but the recording kept encouraging me to hang-up and if I so indicated, my place would be held in line and i would get a call back so I could seek their help. 3 days later, no call back to even let them know what kind of help I needed. Of course 211 is understandably busy with basic food and shelter calls but please don't promote phone numbers and solutions for COVID vaccine wait lists when they are seemingly ineffective and impractical. If we did get a call at the end of the day, what phone number should we expect to receive it from so we don't ignore it? In the meantime, you may also pre-register if you are 65-74 via MyChart which re-routes you to YNHH. Final note, a relative in West Chester county was scheduled for her first shot today but in anticipation of the storm, today's appointments shifted to yesterday — Sunday. Smart move.

Vaccines purposefully given to 22 year-old students at little risk of contracting CoViD-19 mean fewer vaccines given to those at far higher risk of dying from CoViD-19. When so many are vaccine hesitant because many view the medical profession as elitist, callous, and uncaring about the most vulnerable, Genecin confirms their fears. Iwa s not too upset about Health health vaccinating a NHI writer a few weeks early, but the YDN story shows the University is purposefully misusing the precious vaccines the state has entrusted it with.
