Tweed Will Fly To Wilmington, N.C.

Avelo’s expansion of daily flights from Tweed continued Thursday, with the announcement that the budget carrier will soon fly nonstop from New Haven to Wilmington, N.C.

The new budget airline made that announcement in an email press release sent out Thursday morning.

Starting June 30, Avelo Airlines will offer nonstop flights from Tweed New Haven Airport to Wilmington International Airport (ILM) in North Carolina.

That will bring the number of Avelo’s nonstop destinations from Tweed to 14. Starting next month, some of those new destinations will include Charleston, S.C.; Nashville, Tenn.; Savannah, Ga.; Washington D.C.; and Chicago.

This latest new-route announcement comes roughly six months after the budget airline first launched its New Haven-Florida service last November.
