U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy has been to Ukraine and back, and he has an update for the voters back home.
Murphy (pictured in Westville recently), who has emerged as the state’s leading elected official in dealing with the international crisis brewing in Ukraine (read about that here and here), will address New Haveners Wednesday night at a “town hall meeting” at the East Rock School, 133 Nash St. The topic: Foreign policy. (Although all questions about Senate business are welcomed.) The event starts at 6 p.m.
I hope the first question from a reporter is why I should care when a) it doesn't affect anything we do in CT; b) we have pressing problems at home that remain unsolved; c) there is not a one damn thing the U.S. can do to unravel Putin's land grab.
