The Graduate Club was the place to be for two meaningful events this week. One celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Holocaust Education and Prejudice Reduction program. Pictured: Barbara Segaloff, co-chair of the event; and Doris Zelinsky, who chairs the Holocaust Memorial Restoration Committee.
Also present: Debbi Bisno Goldman (theatre producer, David Goldman (Education Committee member), and Marvin Lender, honoree and co-founder/funder.
Gordon Geballe, event co-chair, presented Marvin Lender with the anniversary commemorative award.
The Graduate Club was the scene Tuesday of a book release party for Connecticut Elder Law, by Kate McEvoy. It contains 14 chapters and covers construction of basic wills, Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care, relative caregivers, the probate process, and many other elder law topics. Publishers fete Mcevoy. Left to right: Tony Skoczylas, Kate and David McNamara; the men are both from Westlaw Legal Research.
Is it the 10th anniversary or the 20th of the HEPRP? As an "alum" (from the 1992 "Eywitness to History" Trip), I was happy to see the blurb, regardless. Congrats to a terrific program has been truly changing peoples' lives and outlooks for decades.
