Don Vincent and his 10-year-old son made a discovery walking in Quinnipiac River Park Saturday. Vincent sent in these photos and the following write-up:
“Hypodermic needles and other apparent medical waste have washed ashore due to the hurricane in the section of Quinnipiac River Park that is off of East Pearl Street. This is a popular spot for neighborhood kids to play baseball and football and a spot where dogs are walked and allowed to run. Location here.”
for the record the exact same needles have been washing in from at least Kelsey Island in Branford to the Quinnipiac since this summer. It has already been recorded at Lighthouse Point by the press. Same needles, covers and all.
Isn't it nice to know that someone is doing this off the coast of New Haven?
