The city Department of Public Works has announced the second phase of its summer milling and paving projects, which will start on July 22.
This phase will “continue till completed in August,” the city’s website reads. “Once again, streets to be milled and paved are based upon current road conditions, traffic usage, available funding, citywide needs and other projects impacting the street. Though paving may cause some inconveniences to our public, we try to keep them at a minimum and remain confident that the end results will be worth it.”

Would it be possible to stash some of this equipment along selected parts of Quinnipiac Avenue to slow the traffic year round?
People who have lived here for decades report no action on their noise and speed complaints.<br /> How about a "Rent a Construction Crane" business for the residents who are into self-help?The current projects have reduced traffic and noise substantially, although the broken muffler/blaring music crowd still roar to their hearts content from 9 PM - midnight.
