The Board of Directors of the Online Journalism Project Tuesday unanimously elected Norma Rodriguez-Reyes its chairwoman.
OJP is a not-for-profit organization that publishes the New Haven Independent and shares ideas with journalists in other communities looking to launch professional online community news sites.
Rodriguez-Reyes has been on the board since OJP’s founding in 2005. She is the publisher of La Voz Hispana, Connecticut’s largest Spanish-language newspaper. She co-hosts “The Latest from La Voz,” a bilingual news report that appears on the websites of La Voz and the Independent. (Click on the play arrow for a sample.)
