If you like your ‘70s-era disco-funk performed al fresco, that’s the way—uh-huh, uh-huh—you’ll enjoy KC & The Sunshine Band this summer.
On July 27, KC & The Sunshine Band will take the stage on the New Haven Green this summer to perform as part of the annual summer concert series. The New Haven Symphony Orchestra will play on July 20. The idea of the concerts is to keep large events going on the Green in July, after the Arts & Ideas Festival has worked through its busy June line-up.
Plans for those two concerts were revealed Tuesday as Market New Haven announced its line-up of summer festivals and events. In addition to concerts on the Green, New Haven will host the annual International Festival of Arts and Ideas, a jazz festival, the New Haven Open tennis tournament, as well as art and shopping events.
