With current administration is all about money, power, greed. Mayor talks about wonderful programs only a fix for those crimes hindering Yale bubble, elitist, rich. We are constituents too! There was a call to Pd 3 weeks ago prior to stabbing. Pd chose to ignore it because well they are reactionary. Bullets, mental health, drugs, prostitution, and mayhem are hitting us hard but let criminality rise earns millions for gun violence. Your vote is collective! Anyone indoctrinated into Yale is more of the same. This is an SOS we are dying here!

It's terrible all the crime that is going on. Our city looks like crap. Has anybody tried to walk by the Dunkin on Church St. The drugs is right in front of your face and nothing is done. We need to clean up our city. Get our kids in check. Be examples for our children. I know New Haven is liberal, but why not a republican mayor. Can't hurt to see what happens. It's always the same old thing in New Haven

Speaking of results-- The Democrats are the party of "defund the police" and "empty the jails". What did people think was going to happen when these things were done? Did you honestly think that people were just going to be good ???? If you did..... IDK what to tell you.

Parties with empty agendas and lies are rampant in a city that is a cash cow. The debouching of the city is appalling.

Mayor is dangerous for us. More like a teenager devouring our city. For the maniacal plans he has with Yale. Dubois more of that!

Why can't poor, vulnerable, working class run. I bet many capable and willing good people.

The police can only react after a crime is committed. No mayor, no police chief can change the culture of silence. It is up to the community to stand up, speak out and say no more. Snitching saves lives. Silence is complicity. There is an anonymous phone number and anonymous text number to give your witness tips to. May the brave people of New Haven stop the violence and crimes by speaking up and giving up the code of silence. The lives you save will be those of the victims and the innocent bystanders as well as the perpetrators from retaliation from the victims loved ones.

@HeatherC great information but I call and either phone not answered, or mistreatment. When they come here we are criminals before innocents.

The truth is there maybe a silence culture. This is only because we are scared due to dirty political power and Pd. The culture of Pd danger risk they take, who is the authority, use of force, risk they take, solidarity, and manhood.

The truth is we are conditioned.

No patrol is a reactionary method and it's one that hurts us.

Police are an important part of us. Part of the social construct we all buy into.

We understand that the mayor mandates the police, or oversees them.

Mandates change how system works.

But in this case it isn't working. I know because I live here.

We need social work to become fabric of community enabling the health disparity disease stopped. Every thing affects our health. Living in underfunded areas of the city hurts us.
