Thank you, Paul, for your hopeful comments on our new police officers. I think a large fraction of the nation-wide increase in crime is because of mutual distrust between police and communities in the post-BLM post-Covid era. New officers without that baggage could bring poor communities what they clearly want: real crime-fighting that genuinely respects the law abiding majorities in those neighborhoods. The NHI, thankfully, has always highlighted and praised such efforts.
