A city cop who who spends her days (and nights) comforting crime victims and helping them deal with tragedy will now advise the governor on how to have the state do the same.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy named the officer, Jillian Knox, to a new Victims’ Rights Enforcement Advisory Commission. The commission “will review policies, services, and victims’ rights in the state, and make specific recommendations in the areas of compliance with and enforcement of the constitutional and statutory rights of crime victims,” according to this press release.
