Donald Ray Hines, 77, of New Haven, departed this life January 24, 2010. He was the husband of Blanche Hundley Hines.
Born in Garland, NC, May 20, 1932, he was the son of the late Moses and Eunice Hines.
Prior to retiring, he was employed at Armstrong Rubber Co. as a Machine Operator.
In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memory, daughters, Kris Hines of Hamden, April Cooper and Lynn Campbell of New Haven and Donna Odom of West Haven; a sister, Marthel Parker of Chicago; grandchildren, Jovan Cooper, Kellie Odom, Michelle and Kyle Campbell, Ryan Grant and Kayla Wade; great grandchildren, Toni and Troi Odom-Kelly; a brother-at-heart, Tracey Lamb; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ossie Fox.
A celebration of Mr. Hines’ life and legacy will be held Friday, January 29, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Curvin K. Council Funeral Home, 128 Dwight St., New Haven. Viewing and visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. Online guestbook available at www.curvinkcouncil.com
