James W. Daniel, 93, of New Haven, CT, departed this life January 27, 2010. He was the widower of Catherine L. Daniel.
Born in Fayetteville, NC, November 3, 1916, he was the son of the late Rev. Prince C. Daniels and Susie Daniels.
Prior to retiring, he was employed by the City of New Haven Board of Education as a Teacher.
Mr. Daniel was a WWII Army veteran.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Eric Jarrod Daniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Mr. Daniel’s life and legacy will be held Friday, February 5, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Martin DePorres Church, 136 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 – 9:30 AM. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternal services will begin at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Professional services entrusted to Curvin K.
