
Richard B. Bland, 21, of New Haven, passed away July 6.
He was born to Robert Bland and Grace Luysterborghs, of New Haven, on Aug. 5, 1989. Richard worked as a receiver at Quinnipiac University. He was a hard worker since the age of 13. He was gentle and easygoing, loved to race cars and was a jokester.
Besides his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory: brothers Robert (Rachael) Bland, of Burlington, N.J., Dwight Aldrige, of Levittown, Pa., Renaldi (Schakeema) Dixon and Craig (Angela Bernardo) Bland, both of New Haven, and Robert Bland, of Trenton, NJ; sister Lamesha Randolph Bland, of West Haven; maternal grandmother Ethel Luysterborghs, of Guilford; and many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at Living Word Ministries, 225 Meloy Road, West Haven, with calling hours from 9 – 11 a.m. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
