16-Year-Old Shot Dead

My condolences to the loved ones of the deceased.
So sad such a young person was murdered.
I hope anyone who has information about this steps up and speaks out to stop the cycle of violence.

We need a domestic Marshall Plan to rebuild our troubled neighborhoods and the people who live in them. Poverty generates crime.
Not addressing the problems of chronic poverty only ensures the need for more police, bricks in the Memorial Garden and prison guards.
The politicians continue to saturate the media and social media with more tinkering around the edges, even as they write big checks to the military industrial complex and the merchants of death.
Call them out when they ask for your vote or your money.
No child should die in a shooting or violence of any kind.
It is unacceptable.
Resist.

It all starts in the home. A child becomes what he or she is surrounded by. There are 10's of millions of children in this country and around the world who are living in poverty yet not living a life of crime.

Even if the home is healthy and the child is raised with good morals he or she can take the wrong path and/or be surrounded by negativity outside of the home with or without the parent(s) knowing.

Well Toadster- Since not all poverty leads to crime does that mean that we should continue to suborn it in what is still the richest country in the world?

Adults need to work together to make our streets safe for our children.
