(Opinion) Grab your hats, hammers, books, basketballs, and stethoscopes — 2022 has set the stage for New Haven to pivot to more progress in 2023.
The community won back its police department with new community-connected talent at the top and beginning ranks, and a new crisis-response plan. The guard is changing at the public schools, planting the possibility of a change in reading instruction as well. From new community centers to the building boom to a once-in-a-generation municipal fiscal infusion, the city is primed to accomplish long-sought goals in the new year.
